Terms of Use

Free browser-based time tools, no account, nothing to buy. These terms are short because the site was deliberately built to need short ones.

1. Who operates this site, and what you are agreeing to

Time Hub Express (time-hub-express.com) is operated by an individual based in Singapore. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

2. What the service is

A set of free, browser-based time tools — timers, a stopwatch, a pomodoro timer, date calculators and time-zone tools. There is no account and nothing to buy. Everything runs in your browser.

We may change, add or withdraw tools at any time. The site is free, and we do not promise it will always be available.

3. What it is not

These tools are for general planning. They are not a reliable alarm, and they are not a professional or authoritative source.

  • A browser timer depends on your device staying awake, your browser not being closed by the operating system, and your tab not being throttled in the background.Do not rely on it for anything where missing the moment matters — medication, a flight, an exam, a legal deadline.
  • Time-zone rules change, and your device carries its own copy of them. If your operating system’s time-zone data is out of date, this site can show the wrong offset for a place whose rules recently changed, and it has no way to know that has happened. There is more on this, with worked examples, on time zone changes.
  • ⚠️ Before you rely on a date or time for anything consequential, check it against an official source. That sentence is in the footer of every page and means what it says.

4. As is — no warranties

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability.

We take accuracy seriously — the date and time engine is tested against a reference implementation across multiple engines and time-zone database releases, and the method is published in full on accuracy, including the occasions those tests found this site wrong. That is a statement about our effort, not a guarantee of the result, and it does not create a warranty.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or under mandatory consumer-protection law where you live.

5. Limitation of liability

These terms state no fixed monetary cap on liability, and that is deliberate rather than an omission. Whether any fixed cap is enforceable against consumers on a free service — under Singapore’s unfair-contract-terms and fair-trading legislation, and under EU, UK and US state consumer rules — is the question currently with our legal reviewer. Writing a number here before that answer exists would produce a clause that reads as considered and may be worth nothing.

In the meantime, and in plain terms: the site is free, it is provided as described in section 4, and it should not be relied on for anything consequential without checking an official source. The carve-outs in section 4 for liability that cannot lawfully be excluded apply regardless of what this section eventually says.

6. Acceptable use

Please do not attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site; scrape it at a rate that degrades it for other people; or republish it wholesale as your own.

There is no account to suspend and nothing you can post, so this section is short by construction.

7. Third-party links and advertising

The site links to third-party sources — standards bodies, data publishers, documentation. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

We intend to display advertising in future. When we do, ads will be supplied by Google and we do not control which ads appear. See the Privacy Policy andthe Cookie Policy, both of which are updated in the same change that enables advertising.

8. Intellectual property and the data we use

The design, text and code of this site belong to its operator. You may use the tools freely for your own purposes.

We do not claim ownership of the underlying data, and we credit it:

  • City and time-zone data from GeoNames, used underCC BY 4.0. The city list is a modified subset: we select, re-rank and add to the source data.
  • The IANA Time Zone Database, which is in thepublic domain.

This credit appears in the footer of every page and is checked against the built site on every release, because a licence obligation carried by good intentions is one that eventually gets dropped in a redesign. The full provenance is on sources.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected here with a new date, and recorded on the changelog.

10. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of Singapore, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.

The mechanism for resolving a dispute — the Singapore courts, or arbitration — has not been settled, and no clause is stated here in its place. It is a decision for the operator, and then a confirmation by our legal reviewer that whichever is chosen does not override mandatory consumer-forum rights for users in the EU, the UK or a US state. This page will say which it is once it is decided. In practice, the first step for any complaint is to write to us, and we would much rather resolve it that way.
